I have been getting IBE (hair extensions) and color services with Shannon for a few months now and I simply could not be happier!I came to Shannon after having a few bad experiences at other local salons. I was extremely vulnerable and emotional having dealt with quite a bit of hair loss due to a health condition. I had spent thousands on bad hair, poor installation technique, sub par color blending and even unprofessional treatment from past stylists. I was truly at my wits end.Shannon has beyond exceeded all of my expectations. Not only is she super knowledgeable and professional, she is HIGHLY skilled and she really is so caring and considerate. Her passion and talent for her craft are completely evident after every service I have received with her.I am so grateful and I can honestly say I love my hair again!Can not recommend her enough!So thankful from the bottom of my heart!

Virasana salon is the best! Always professional, makes you feel so pampered, and does a fabulous cut and color. The girls are fun and super friendly making you feel so comfortable. Always offering special drinks and they use products with the least amount of chemicals. The salon is very clean and no harsh chemical smells. I have been so pleased that I found Shannon and her girls.

Cassie did a great job matching my color that I wanted. During my shampoo, I got a head massage and then while my hair was towel drying, I received a hand massage. She is very knowledgeable about some hair issues that I have trouble with and made great recommendations on products I could try. The salon is very clean, organized and the atmosphere very relaxing.I have received many compliments on my new hair color and style. I definitely will continue going back to this salon.

I work long hours (55+) managing a local repair shop and was feeling a little, how shall I say it, less than feminine lol. Though I embrace my curly hair it, like the rest of me, was feeling flat and wilted. Although I knew there were curly hair specific cutting techniques I had never had one before so decided this was just the adventure me and my hair needed. After searching online for hours I finally settled on virasana’s.Let me just say it was GREAT!! Cassie was fantastic at what she did. She walked me through every step she took with this once lifeless set of strands. Though she only took about an inch off, when she was done with her magic the bounce in my hair was so great it looked significantly shorter (yes that’s good for those non curly haired folks). Cassie returned the spring to my hair and step. I will definitely be returning.

Shannon has been styling my hair for over 10 yrs and I have never had any but a great experience. She has also been managing my extension needs for about that long too and my hair has always looked amazing. She knows how to blend and color everything just right so that one would never know I have extensions. The IBE extensions have been a healthy option for my natural hair as well and does not damage it. Shannon takes her craft very seriously but at the same time makes the salon time quite entertaining and fun. There is a unique camaraderie with all the girls in the salon and it’s obvious that they love what they are doing. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my styling needs.

Shannon’s service was professional from start to finish. I enjoy the aesthetic of the salon. The vibes are welcoming and relaxing. To start, Shannon took the approach of understanding my short and long term goals with my hair. We discussed my bandwidth for at home and salon visit maintenance so that she was able to best consult a color and cut that matched my desires with my capacity to maintain my look. The results were wonderful and transformative. I have been some version of blonde for the past 25 years and Shannon’s color work has helped me achieve a whole new brunette look. My hair is healthier than ever and she masterfully created dimension to my color that makes this brunette look vibrant and captivating. Her cuts are always spot on. I have long hair and a lot of it. It can be a challenge to manage so Shannon’s approach to including some long layers to lighten up my hefty load of hair. With little maintenance I have a built in style that is fresh and fun. I highly recommend Virasana if you are looking for customized services from a group of women who truly care about you and allow you to walk out the door feeling your best.

Just moved here from Fort Myers and totally hit the jackpot with this salon! I am still blown away by the way, my hair turned outand even more impressed at their prices! Normally going to a new salon isn’t a great experience until you get to know the Stylist better, but not this time! I don’t write many reviews, however, it’s not easy finding The right place to get your hair done so if you’re new in town, this is where you wanna go!

Cassie has been doing my hair for many years now, and I am still blown away with how amazing and beautiful I feel every time I leave the salon! She is sweet, understanding and very professional with anything that you would want done to your hair. She has been with me through multiple different cuts, colors and styles and any time we did something new it came out amazing every time, she has even helped me find a hairstyle and color that I have fallen in love with! I would highly recommend her and this amazing salon to anyone in the sarasota/venice area (and even beyond)!!

Absolutely love Cassie! She cut my hair a year ago after I dyed and I just went back today after letting it grown out to get the rest of the dyed and dry pieces! we did a full chop of about 8-9 inches and she was wonderful! i have very thick hair and very curly hair and she did a great job and also a great consultation to make sure i got the perfect cut just like i did a year ago! 12/10 for ms cassie couldn’t have asked for better!

Visiting Florida for an event and was dissatisfied with my last haircut. Hair was extremely dry and without style. I have big curly hair and not many people know how to cut it. Found this salon online and was nervous about getting it cut just before an event but was desperate. Wasn’t sure if I wanted a curly cut or not but Cassie advised it and I’m so glad. She is truly an artist. I haven’t been this happy walking away from a salon in a very long time. Immediately after I left I walked into a restaurant and got compliments on my hair from the workers there. I got a hair mask and clarifying shampoo. Cassie spent time working the shampoo through my hair until soft. Then during the hair mask massaged my hands which was amazing. The level of care, respect, and talent was amazing. Even though I live a plane trip away, I will try to book her again next visit. My hair looks and feels amazing- as do I! Thank you, Cassie at Virasana salon!!

I have just completed my 12th? appointment with Cassie. While I am always happy when I leave, we did somethin a bit different..I had extensions done! She has made so many awesome changes in my hair, color, health, over all condition… but due to menopause, thyroid and just having thin hair in general, I felt locked in to the style I had. It was safe. Now I have sassy and sexy, and THAT changes everything. My husband was so surprised. He loves it as well..

I had a great haircut and color with Mia! I love the color we choose and it is one of the best I have had in years. Mia took the time to discuss what I wanted in both a color and cut. I have grey roots but am a light brunette. She seamlessly added in natural highlights while covering my grey. The cut is simple but perfect. Highly recommend booking with Mia!

Shannon, also the salon owner, has been doing my hair for many many years and I’ve always been so happy! She stays up-to-date with all the hair styles and she’s been doing my IBE extensions for the past year and shes amazing! My hair has never been so beautiful and I receive compliments all the time on my hair. Couldn’t be happier. She trains her girls well and has a wonderful staff. I definitely recommend her salon for all you hair needs and if you’re thinking about extensions…Shannon is your girl. I like low maintenance on my hair and she has put in the perfect extensions for my low maintenance needs. Also, i love my color that she does on my hair :)

Edit: 3rd time here! Cassie did an amazing job with my Halloween hair. Took all day! See helped me formulate a plan for the colors, did bleach, color and conditioned my hair!I have been twice so far and they are all super friendly, nice and down to earth. My last visit was with Cassie, who fixed my hair after I attempted a short cut myself which ended badly. She did a hybrid curly cut after I had no clue what I wanted, helped me learn how to style my curls, squeezed in a conditioning treatment. Instantly got tons of compliments on the cut even when I wasnt sure (wasnt used to hair this short). I am so grateful for them. My first visit was for vibrant colors which lasted a long time and was super pretty. Will be going back for more vibrant colors!

Love this place and these ladies! AND THE DOGS! Yes folk, they sometimes bring their adorable friendly pets to work and it’s heavenly. I get my hair colored, cut, washed and dried every 3-4 weeks here and every time has been an awesome experience. Shannon listens to your wants and needs and educated accordingly before doing anything. The teaching environment there is so important for future stylists and they all watch intently and jump in to help as soon as they’re asked. It’s cute, clean, friendly and usually they can work you in when you need to get in last minute! Love this salon!

Shannon has been doing my hair for years. From color to cuts to trims, etc. I trust her so much that at this point I just show up and let her work her magic without too much insight other than I need it to look professional and be something that can grow out gracefully in between visits. Did I mention that I moved to Boston and still only allow Shannon to do my hair. I literally plan trips around having her color and style my long locks and help with my “sparkles” (greys) as I get older. Now that she owns her own salon she takes special care to staff it with individuals who share her vision, kindness, attention to detail and passion for what they do. She loves her community and her clients. I couldn’t recommend Shannon or anyone working with her anymore!!! My mother and sister in law also use Shannon. We all are different ages and have VERY different textures and shapes of hair. She can truly work with anyone. Just book the apt. 😉 You will be pleased!!!

I have very curly( 3c) hair and immediately when I walked in Heather( along with all other stylist I must say ) made me feel welcomed in a very chic & trendy salon with a great overall vibe. Excellent first appointment this week with Heather for my curly hair. We just moved here and researched who was the go-to person for curly hair and Heathers name came up multiple times and there is a reason. She takes her time, analyzes your hair only only cuts what needs to be shaped. She doesnt push one product on you as she thinks you should use what works for you. You can tell she is invested in making sure your hair represents what you want it to be. Super impressed and so happy I didnt have to go through multiple people to find someone. When it comes to makeup, I have very faint eyebrows and when I told Heather that brows make me nervous, she was amazing and told me we wouldn’t do anything I was uncomfortable with. If I didn’t like them she’d make it so I felt amazing. Well she did such incredible work and made them look so natural that I am going to start making my eyebrows shine!
