    Being new to the area I stopped in and talked to Derrick, I was looking to get my hair straightened. The humidity down here is really killing my hair with frizz.He discussed the different types and I made an appointment with him.He was super knowledgeable and personable.I highly recommend New York Hair & Beauty the salon is clean and professional.Derrick knows his stuff.

    I hadn’t had my hair done for almost a year. I was so nervous to go to a new stylist. I got an appointment with Natalie and she was absolutely amazing!!! My hair turned out better than I could have imagined. It was definitely worth the wait, and I highly recommend her and her salon. Thank you Natalie!! See you for my touch up in 8 weeks!!!

    Johnny gave me AMAZING highlights and a beautiful cut. I’m absolutely in love with how my hair turned out. I couldn’t be happier with the results! And it was so nice he was down to earth and friendly. Made the entire experience very enjoyable! I’ll never go anywhere else to get my hair done! Client for life!

    This place is AMAZING!! New to area & was looking for stylist, I have a funky color hair so was hoping I found someone who truly knew what & how to do it. Rachel nailed it!! Above & beyond my expectation!!!! (Had gone to my previous salon for over 15 years) this is my new salon & I will continue to see Rachel as my stylist. She is beyond wonderful, my color, my cut, everything is just amazing!! My hair looks & feels great!! Not to mention the place is beautiful inside, I love it!! ❤️ highly recommend 👌🏽 👍🏼 👏

    The whole place can’t be bad. I saw the rest of the hair stylists providing amazing services to clients.However, I don’t think my stylist was the best.She removed the red tone from my hair (looks Good) and put 12 highlights spread out somewhere throughout my hair, idk I can barely find them 🫤 they are so thin, trimmed my hair (not a bad cut ✂️), and did NOT style blow dry my hair.All for the price of $243. Not my finest purchase but we all make mistakes.

    This was the best haircut/style and color treatment I have ever experienced. The salon is a clean and esthetically pleasing environment with a professional yet personable staff who immediately attend to your needs in a very supportive and consultative manner. My color treatment by Corina and haircut/style by Elodie were works of art. Their expertise and talents are amazing, and they are very expedient and efficient also. This was a remarkable experience! I love my hair!

    When I first moved to town 6 years ago, I tried at least 3 salons and was really underwhelmed and discouraged until I found Natalie. I will not go anywhere else!! She does exactly what I ask for and is consistently talented and kind. 5 big giant stars 😊⭐️

    This Upscale Salon is my home away from home Salon. The entire staff is up to date on all the newest styles, colors and hair trends. The Salon Owner Natalie doesnt just run a top notch place she also is a unbelievable talented stylist probably one of the best I have ever had do my hair! Im from NY and have always had my hair done by very properly trained Master Stylist. Natalie and her team are highly qualified. On top of being the BEST Salon I have found in Sarasota. Natalie and her entire staff are fun, helpful on giving you some ideas of what would look good on you. They offer so many amenities ex. I just got the most AMAZING extensions, included with a color and cut. They give you the 5⭐ treatment. I have come out of the salon every time feeling absolutely beautiful. So if you are getting tired of the same old hair style or just want a little refresher get in to New York Hair & Beauty it is the place you should head to. They will NEVER LET YOU DOWN! They will only make you feel pampered andmore beautiful than you already are 💜

    Ive been going to Natalie for several years and absolutely love how she does my hair. Ive made some drastic changes with her from hair to my waist to up to my neck, and she nailed the cut. Even now, I still get compliments all the time, and people ask who does my hair. She knows what shes doing and what she has to work with to make it work for your hair. Thanks, Natalie, for always making me feel gorgeous when you work your magic.

    I recently returned for a 3rd try. My 1st experience several years ago was wonderful. Natalie took her time and did a keratin treatment and cut. She left me with smooth swingy hair that lasted. She worked small portions at a time leaving the iron on for the appropriate time. I returned again for the same but this time time was not taken to let the keratin set. And it was not smooth and silky and didnt last. Time was an issue and it showed in the result.I did not return for several years. But this year i saw she has a new salon so i decided to give it a 3rd visit. But before making the appointment i had purchased the keratin treatment for myself thinking i might do it myself. After reading the instructions i made the call to have it done. The person assigned to do me only left the iron on for like 5 seconds on the portion of hair instead of the 17 suggested. The cut was not what i wanted either. I said feathered bangs but they looked like a flat plate. And stacking in the back. My hair is still wavy and feels like straw and stubble. The girl tried but maybe didnt have the experience? It certainly wasnt worth the $350.00 it cost me!Day after review.....I was unable to take your call while in traffic and reading a map. However....I did call later and scheduled another appt for two weeks later with Natalie the owner. She was very cordial and focused on remedying the keratin treatment and the cut. I didnt think it was possible to repair. Natalie assessed the situation, took her time. She redid the keratin treatment and gave an excellent cut. She said it needed to grow out for one more cut to get back to what it should be. (And I sipped a glass of wine while she worked) . I am very happy with the result. I want to thank Natalie for the customer service and time she took to correct a very poor previous keratin treatment and cut. Now the day after, I have received multiple compliments on my hair thanks to Natalie.

    Meredith is GREAT!! She fixed my bad haircut that I received from a different salon. She spent the time fixing the bad cut and made me feel wonderful about my new hair cut. I’m very impressed with her talent! I will be back and will recommend this place to all!!

    I waited to review this salon until I had gone at least twice. I had a great experience both times. My appointment was w/ Natalie. She worked really hard to fix a bad highlight I had gotten from another premier salon in the area. I am really impressed at how she listens to my ideas and guides me in the right direction. She is also not afraid to say if something will work for my hair because of texture/length, etc. Also, the other girls in the salon are very nice, friendly and not snotty. When I went in on Friday, two different girls asked me if I needed something to drink and made sure I was comfortable. As someone who is particular about my hair and hate to pay and be disappointed, Im so happy I found Natalie this fast (just moved here in March). On a side note, I have never met the owner but the girls speak very highly of her....

    I called on a Saturday morning to see if there was any openings for a haircut and luckily I was able to get an appointment! I’m so glad they had an opening because it was an absolute pleasure to have my haircut by Damien! I went in with the need for a big change and wanted my hair cut very short, which has intimidated some professionals, but he was excited and up for the challenge. He was very personable and he made it a fun experience. He took his time and put a lot of care and precision into my cut and he made sure I was happy with the results! I love my new look, and I’m very glad that I found a salon/stylist that I like and will go back to! Thanks Damien!

    Natalie listened to how I wanted my hair cut and she nailed it! I walked into my house afterward and the wife said your hair looks great! I will see Natalie again in two weeks and I know I will get a great haircut. Highly recommend her and the New York Hair salon!

    Corina is an amazing hair stylist! I had her color my hair and she was so nice and gentle with my hair, she listens really well and makes it a goal to make sure you are comfortable the whole time she is doing your hair, the color was vibrant and probably the best coloring Ive had done in a while, I definitely would have her do my hair again and would 100% recommend her to.do anyone elses hair :)

    Corina always does such a good job on my hair. I am so picky as I have always gotten my hair done by my mom (who is a stylist) but she lives out of state. I am always blown away with the way my hair turns out, whether I have my own plan or I have her come up with something. And she is so fun to be around. I couldn’t recommend more!

    I love this place. i wish i lived near it so it could be my go to salon. i was visiting in florida and i needed to get my hair done. i came in without an appointment and they were warm, friendly, and accommodating. they did have their regular appointments for the day so i had to wait a few minutes. that was understandable because i walked in. the girls were so nice and you really could tell they loved what they do. not only did my hair look great the other work around me looked good too. i live 25 minutes away from new york city, and i can say that you get a new york experience at this salon.

    Visiting from Colorado and loved the cut of my long hair but needed it shaped up with some fringe around the face and nice choppy bangs. Dawn was fantastic. I FINALLY found someone who understood my version of choppy (not just texturized) but rather an edgier and more current look. Dawn is a beautiful woman with a fantastic haircut herself. You will feel safe in her hands!! I am super picky and she exceeded expectations. Dont hesitate.

    Natalie was very gentle when she was handling my hair because, I have partial hair extensions in my hair. I feel that she did not rush through the appointment when I was there for the service. She took her time..and I see that not a lot of hair stylist out there takes the time with their client.

    I had my long hair cut to donate. Then Melissa washed and cut my hair per my request. Melissa made suggestions and was very professional. She accepted my responses to agree or not agree with her suggestions. I love the my hair cut. Melissa did a great job. She is very sweet and friendly. The time flew by quickly while getting the cut and style as she and I were able to chat easily. Thanks Melissa. I will most certainly go to NY Hair of Venice again.

    The lady who cut my hair did not listen to what I asked for (an angled bob) and seemed unsure of how to cut that style. The cut was ok but not done well. I returned the next day and another stylist fixed it beautifully without charge. Very professional experience!!

    I am a very satisfied client. I picked New York Hair from the internet and I am so glad I did. Upon arrival Simone, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. I needed a cut and colors, using foils. Erika, a master stylist, matched the color, improved on the cut and blow dried it into a delightful style. I walked out of the salon a very happy camper.

    I am visiting from Pa. and wanted a new style so I checked the internet for appealing salons. The online booking and confirmation by text was so convenient. Mrs Cox was on time and very patient with me while I decided on a cut and she did it perfectly! We Should have done a before and after pic... great transformation!!

    If youre considering something funky youll be in awesome hands with Christine. Shes creative, fun and honest. Its so hard to find someone you can trust to do what you ask for or help you decide with amazing results. She loves what she does and the energy she brings to her work is addictive.     Zee is amazing, Everytime I see her I leave happier than the time before. Shes a color specialist, all of her work is beautiful but she really shines with blondes(I might be biased bc Im blonde 😍) Shes a ton of fun, listens to what her clients want and her execution is amazing. I havent seen a stylists work that rivals Zees in the 7 years Ive been living in Florida.
