    I had my first curly appointment with Sophia, and it was by far the BEST hair experience I have ever had. She took her time answering my questions about hair care, making sure she understood my hair goals and inspo photos, and was so fun to get to know along the way. All of the staff here are kind and welcoming, and I cannot recommend Sophia enough! She is extremely knowledgeable about curly hair and a great listener. I was nervous about leaving with shorter hair than I wanted, but Sophia did such an incredible job at keeping my hard earned length while also creating a beautiful shape that brings out definition and volume. The final result is AMAZING and the experience was worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back!

    As a previous owner of a salon, Iā€™m here to say; what a difference a curly cut makes!!! I had no idea how different the process would be and how they would spend the time showing you how to recreate the look. Jae was my stylist and I was blown away by her skill set and the time she took to show me what she was doing. The owner has put so much thought into to the process, I absolutely loved it.     Most of my life I thought I just had frizzy barely wavy hair, and I hated it. A couple of years ago, I started wearing it naturally but struggled to find a routine that worked. I found Kelly Nicole Curls online and decided to try their new client experience. I was a little skeptical that the cost of the New Curly Guest Experience would be worth it, but I was wrong! It was worth every penny. Jae did an amazing job going over how I was taking care of my hair, products I was using, and what my goals were. I gave her free reign on cutting & shaping my hair to get the most out of my curls/waves. She did an amazing job, was very through in explaining what she was doing, why, and giving me suggestions on products and tips to get the same result at home. I am so thrilled with my hair and really appreciate the time, attention, & detail! I will absolutely be recommending Jae to anyone in need of a hair glow up!

    I havenā€™t had a professional haircut for quite some time. And it was my first time working with someone who specializes in curly hair. I donā€™t think regular hairstylists know enough about curly hair as I have not had good luck with haircuts in the past. It was refreshing to be able to discuss my hair with someone who understands.

    Jae and the team at Kelly Nicole Curls and Co. were amazing! I received a warm welcome upon arrival from the lovely ladies up front and since it was my very first visit, they gave me a welcome bag filled with goodies! My favorite item though was the notepad and pen. I know, youre probably thinking what?! why?! but as someone who is still at the beginning of the journey of embracing my natural curls I wanted to soak up all of Jaes knowledge so I wrote everything down! She was so sweet and extremely patient and tolerated my endless questions. Jae took the time to explain each step of what a good wash day and styling day should feel/look like and how long it should take. One of my goals was to simplify and shorten my routine. With two young children at home, mama does not have time for that! We talked in-depth about which product ingredients would be best for my hair and how much product to use. They had a lovely selection of products but were not pushy about trying to get you to spend money and even shared alternative options that they would recommend on a budget! Overall, my experience at Kelly Nicole Curls and Co. was wonderful! I am looking forward to my next appointment! Thank you again to Jae and the whole team of beautiful and talented ladies!

    By far the best haircut Iā€™ve ever had!!! Jae was AMAZING. She really took the time to understand my hair challenges and goals. She was very detailed with the cut, cutting each curl so that it lay perfectly and achieved the rounded shape I was looking for. I also learned new styling techniques that Iā€™m excited to try.     I cannot say enough positive things about this salon. I waited for a year to book because they are so busy, and now i understand why. From the moment i walked in, i felt welcomed, comfortable, and in great hands. Everyone was friendly and kind. Brianne changed my lifeā€”no exaggeration. Iā€™ve wrestled and hated my natural curls for 45 years. I was resigned to straightening (read: damaging) my hair for life until she showed me how to care for and cultivate my natural texture. The initial 2 hour appointment is life changing. I now know how to get my best curls, frizz free! I cannot wait to return.Note: i initially was surprised by the $200 first appointment price. However, now that Iā€™ve experienced the 2+ hour service, i can say it is 100% worth every penny. Iā€™ve never learned so much about MY own hair. When she did the final reveal, i cried with happiness and relief. Iā€™ve recreated the beautiful, bouncy waves every day since my first appointment 3 weeks ago! I am officially a curly girl for life!

The service was exceptional, and Brianna brought my vision to life. The positive energy in the salon is infectious, creating a joyful atmosphere. Every detail was perfect, from the precision of the haircut to the delightful conversations. All of the stylists are incredibly knowledgeable and truly love what they do.     Jae did amazing on my hair! Sheā€™s super friendly, welcoming, and very educational when it comes to the knowledge of your curls. Iā€™ve never had a curly haircut before, but it most definitely will not be the last time. My curls went from lifeless to voluminous, soft, and defined in an instant and I now know how to care for them better at home. Iā€™m so excited to come back for a color and cut next time.     Best curly hairdressers and salon ever! I have been going for several years and although Vanessa is my regular hairdresser, Iā€™ve had service from all of them and they are all A+.     I had an amazing experience with Jae today. First time curly cut for me. My curls are a product of chemotherapy and I had no idea how to handle them. Straight hair all my life. I was super nervous, but from the minute I walked into the Salon everyone made me so comfortable. Jae sat with me while explaining my issues as well as what I was looking for. She walked me through the entire process from start to finish and I learned so much. I am super happy with my results and would recommend both Jae and the salon to anyone.     I had my hair cut by Jaelen following 4 months of growth. My hair was frizzy and dry and way out of shape. Jaelen gave me a great cut, one of the best Iā€™ve ever had, and Iā€™ve had curly girl cuts for years. My hair needs way less product now, down to one spray gel which encourages my natural curls and leaves it with a soft look and feel. Even on a windy day, I need only scrunch my hair a bit to restore the curl. Even though Iā€™ve followed the Curly Girl Method for years, Jaelen gave me a few new pointers. This is a friendly salon, very welcoming. The staff were unhurried and responsive. AND my cut was $200 LESS than my former stylist (who no longer welcomed my business because I leave during the summer months).

    I left my very first appointment at Curls & Co. flying high! When I walked into the salon I was amazed that every single person - stylists and patrons, had curly hair! I had never seen such a stunning variety of curls anywhere.I watched the curly headed stylists cutting their curly headed clients with care, interesting techniques, kindness and laughter!My appointment with owner Kelly far exceeded my expectations. Our initial consult was about me, my thoughts and dreams about my hair, past styling experiences, followed by more curl hair care education than I ever imagined or knew.Kelly listens intently. She gave me what I asked for plus much, much more. Her skills and confidence allowed me to totally trust her process. I must admit, this was the first stylist I have ever totally relaxed with. Finally, someone knew much more about my hair than I did.I asked Kelly for business cards to share with my curly-headed friends. My only regret was leaving without taking this extraordinarily unique, creative, intelligent entrepreneur home with me.Alas, I have to wait for my next appointment to get another dose!Kelly, thank you!

    Iā€™ve grown up with curly hair and no true idea how to properly care or style it to the best of my abilities. Brianna was absolutely amazing in teaching and helping me learn to love my curls. I booked a two hour appointment with Brianna for a new client consultation and cut. Brianna was brilliant! She listened to my story and concerns and asked what I thought I needed in a hairstyle and answered all my questions. She then made suggestions based on my hair texture, length and needs.     These ladies are so much more than stylists. Theyā€™re hair doctors and hair scientists. Having bad experiences with other stylists in the past I did my reset before making the appointment and Iā€™m so glad I went.     I visited for the first time for my 11AM appointment; arrived 10:50 and got up from the chair for the last dry cut a little after 1PM. Brianna saved my hair. She sat and spoke with me before she even touched it to talk to me about the products Iā€™ve been using and which Iā€™d switch to after washing and styling. We discussed the alternative techniques to use for better shower-washing, sleeping, and so on. Her advice was insightful and helpful. I did not feel judged even for having curl memory-loss hair affected by my previous hair routine. I look forward to my next visit as everyone was super conscientious & mindful if anyone needed water or a snack or the restroom.     They are amazing! They are very educated and will share that with you on how to properly maintain your curls. It was very hard to find a place who knew how to cut my curly hair. I travel 45 minutes and its worth it every time.Update 11/2024: Been going here on a regular every 3 months for my curly cut. This month I decided to try color in my hair for the first time. Ive never colored my hair in my life. Brianna really calmed my nerves and gave me all the options to choose from. Her recommendations were on point and it looks beautiful! I am loving it!!

    I had the best experience. Iā€™ve been wanting to go back to having highlights for the longest but I was scared to see how my hair would react again. Let me tell you. DO YOUR TEST STRAND.     Kelly Nicole is a compassionate gifted magician. After over a month in the hospital all my hair was in a knot. A dread. All of it. It was impossible.     18 year old guy with dirty blond curly hair. I have gotten my hair cut twice at Curls and Co so far and have been supper happy both times, great atmosphere and nice people. Vanessa has been the one to cut my hair each time and shes done a fantastic job! I like having my hair between ear and shoulder length (kind of the surfer vibe). I gave her a rough estimate of how long I wanted it the first time I went in, as well as what vibe i was going for and she took over from there and even remembered what I wanted when I returned after around 3 month for another cut! She also gave me tips and advice on how to care for my hair at home, I just moved from a different climate so totally new world for me hair care wise, as well as recommended new products for me which have worked great. In the past i have always worried when getting a haircut due to having my curls messed up or just styled poorly by barbers and Im very happy to no longer worry about how it will turn out and can feel excited about looking fresh afterwards.     After years of struggling with my hair and never wearing it down, I decided to embrace my natural waves/curls. I found Curls and Co when searching for a salon w/curly hair experience and was so excited to do a new client appt and get actual education about my hair, how best to care for it from wash to style, and the best products. My stylist was Vanessa and she was so thorough. She went over the ingredients of all my current products and told me what would and wouldnt work instead of just trying to sell me something different for the sake of a sale. I did end up with 2 new products and kept 1 I was already using. I love that you can bring your bottles back for refills as well. Vanessa explained that it would take a least a year or so to see the full potential of my curls and encouraged me to continue with the routine she had given me. I have since returned for a second cut and I am amazed at how much my curls have changed since my first appointment. I am excited to continue the journey and am so happy to have found the salon and Vanessa!

If you are about keeping your curls in tip top shape, this is the place for you! First visit is a two hour consult, dry cut, and clean up of previous products that may be holding your curls back.     I have crazy curly hair that is struggle to not wear pulled back all the time because of frizz and is completely unmanageable, spending a ridiculous amount of money on product that was only hit or miss with working. I had heard about and seen photos on social for this hair salon so I thought Id try and see if it made a difference! HOLY COW was I amazed šŸ¤ÆšŸ˜³ Brianna is my stylist and she is phenomenal!! Your 1st appointment takes all of 2 hours because of all the details that go into it. Before heading back to the chair, all the stylists take the time to basically interview you about your hair issues, what youve tried and what your specific curl goals are. Once in her chair, Brianna was very detailed in explaining what she was doing, what the whole cut, wash, and style process would be and teaching You how to do it once youre out of the salon and on your own. It is a lot of information (but you can reach out anytime with questions) and I learned that I needed to rethink my whole curl process. I can 100% say that it was COMPLETELY worth driving down to Sarasota (I am in West/Downtown Bradenton) I have never left a salon with my curls looking so incredibly defined, shiny and happy looking. If you have crazy, unmanageable curls, even mixed with some ethnicity, I HIGHLY recommend this salon, any of the stylists but Im definitely partial to Brianna, and see for yourself what difference a cut and the educational process made for us with curls can do for you!!
