    Sophie is the best 10/10 always. Her work is truly amazing. I always walk out feeling like a brand new person! I’ve been going to her for the past two years, Her work speaks for itself. She very welcoming and makes sure you’re comfortable. Sophie makes 4/5 hours in the chair feel like an hour/ hour and a half max. all giggles and good vibes! My hair was very long and dark brown and she got me to a nice blonde without frying my hair. My hair is so soft and silky after two year of dying it. She is truly talented, I recommend her to everyone who is looking to get their hair done.

    I got a haircut with Kimi about two weeks ago and I love it! I told her I wanted to keep my length and refresh my existing layers and she went above and beyond to deliver!     I’m currently living in Orlando but and I never had my hair so dry (hard water problems) even when I used a really good brands to take care of my hair the appointment was made, I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment and my stylist was basically ready for me (I love it) Ally is those kind of sweethearts people with an amazing care of the details and stunning customer service, taking her time to perform her job at the best of my requirements I just show her a picture of the haircut that I was looking to get and she took the whole time to take care of my hair my time and my requirements giving me an amazing time to enjoy myself while I got the queen treatment also offered me a kit of products that will help me with my dryness due to the hard water problems that Orlando cause on me! My favorite has been getting lived-in blonde highlights or balayage, and enjoying a the best cuts for my straight fine hair. This is the first time in my life my friends and coworkers have asked for a referral based on my results. So glad I found Sophie. A zillion stars!

    Danielle is an answer to prayer. I found J Bauman and I have never looked back. So much so I have since moved to Boston, and I fly down monthly to get my hair done. She is blonde and knows blondes, which gives me (a blonde) peace of mind. She is professional, always on time, and I always leave with a job well done from her. I have gotten to know the other stylists from coming here, and they do amazing work, are kind, and there really is a family atmosphere here. I love this salon, and now being my entire family.     I’ve been going to J Bauman and seeing Tanya for 7 years now. It’s the longest I’ve ever stayed with a salon. Tanya is such an expert at what she does. She is truly skilled at coloring blondes. My color always comes out looking beautiful and she always knows exactly what my hair needs with regards to color, products and styling. She’s is a perfectionist when it comes to coloring and styling and I 100% trust her with my hair. She’s thorough but efficient so I don’t have to spend my entire day in the salon. I’m always very satisfied with the finish product and I always get so many compliments on my hair after seeing her!

    If you had a bad experience at a salon go to J Bauman and ask for Kimmy. I had been to almost every hair salon in Orlando and was terrified to try a new one, I thought my hair was beyond repair and thanks to kimmy my hair is exactly what I wanted while still being in a healthy state. Kimmy makes sure your hair is not just healthy in the salon but recommends great products to help you mantain color and health. Every experience I have had with this salon has been great! I highly recommend and they also have great snacks !

Kim also mentioned a 50% charge for missing the appointment. I tried to reschedule, I asked if she could accommodate me in a wheelchair. She said she’d call me back! I never received a call after that day! I always compensated Kim if I had to make a change, realizing it cost her if I made a change! I hope she’s doing well but due to the lack of response!I’ve moved on!💔

John was my stylist, he was prompt,courteous and hand cut my short hair.The owners Christie and Jay introduce themselves to me and thanked me for coming in. I was given delightful Bumble and Bumble samples. The salon is clean and well lit. Coffee is available and snacks. Plenty of parking and super convenient.I will be back and I encourage everyone to book an appointment.

Maia checked in with me to make sure I am comfortable, guided me on the best style for my hair and how to style my hair in the future.     I love Brooke! Another stylist had messed up the color on my hair pretty badly but Brooke spent 6 hours fixing it and did a tremendous job, I’ve been coming to her ever since!     Ari is the best! She does an excellent job and so very sweet. I came in for a hair cut a while back looking for someone to cut curly hair. To be honest I was scared of someone getting scissor happy with my long hair. But she assured me she would take it slow. She did exactly what she said she was going to do. Now she cuts my hair and my girls hair. We won’t go anywhere else!

    I had such a great time and experience with Bryanna and her assistant Maia today. I highly recommend them for a curly cut. Bryanna is very knowledgeable, kind and great at communicating. She was teaching Maia but I felt so secure with both of them. You can tell Maia is learning but the skill is there and she did so well! The curly cut is dry and then they style it, which I loved. I’m so so so happy with the results and will be back!The salon is super clean and all of the staff were so kind.

    First time with this salon and stylist (Kayla) and things went well. Staff is pleasant and they did offer a little snack and drink bar (Saturday) and the atmosphere is pretty chill.Kayla was awesome. She was attentive and efficient with her time and a pleasure to work with. My color looks great, my cut is good, but thats where you do see a master stylist finesse compared to a Jr stylist. It looks good, technically sound, and by no means did I leave feeling disappointed. Rather I think when its time to get another cut I may try to book with a master stylist and her so that we can get the blended look in my layers Im looking for. Well get there in time. Thx Kayla.

    I trust Brooke with my life!! I’ve lived in Orlando for 6 years now and after countless trials and errors with other stylists at other salons I’m so lucky to have found Brooke! I went in for a balayage with Brooke for the first time after getting some horrendous highlights at another salon and I cannot emphasize how perfect my hair turned out. It’s like she could read my mind. I would recommend her to anyone, any day.

    Danielle is truly a magician when it comes to hair!! I like to joke around saying my hair closely resembles Hagrid from Harry Potter and Danielle absolutely transformed my hair! I left feeling confident and eager to try out the styling tips that she recommended. Besides Danielle’s great talents, she is a pleasure to spend the day with to laugh and chit-chat and truly have a wonderful experience with.The salon is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of parking, and everyone there was extremely friendly. I was asked multiple times if I needed anything from water to coffee to soda. I can’t recommend J. Bauman Salon and Danielle enough!

    I have been going to Kimberly Ton at J. Bauman Salon for all my hair needs for over 10 years. Kim Ton always has a glass of wine ready for me when I show up. She is amazing when it comes to color for me, especially since I go between shades of red, she knows how to pick the perfect color mixture together to compliment my style. She is so talented and skilled in her craft, takes the time to talk with you about what you want to do, giving suggestions, and never rushing you into anything. Absolutely amazing and always recommend going to see Kim Ton!!

    I saw Kimmy (@Color_kimmy) at J. Bauman Salon, and Kimmy is not only incredible an incredible stylist, but an all around wonderful human. I had really long hair that I wanted to get cut, but I was really nervous about it. When I called around and asked, everyone said that if I wanted to get it cut short, Kimmy was the person to go to, and they were so right! Kimmy made helped make the process of getting my hair cut not only less anxiety-inducing, but really fun! Kimmy is also really knowledgeable, so when I asked a bunch of questions, she talked me through my options, and explained techniques etc.She also has a good eye; Kimmy knew what would look good on me way before I did, but I never felt like she pushed me to do anything. She let me make my own decisions and go at my own speed, and she helped me find a style and products that worked with my style and schedule.On top of that, Kimmy is a really kind and fun person! She was always really smiley and funny. She always was really careful around my ear piercings, and she always made sure she was not hurting me. I recently moved away from Orlando, and Kimmy took the time to give me tips and strategies to find a new stylist for my new location, which shows how much she really cares.Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Kimmy; she is incredible!

    I have been going to Kimberly Washington for YEARS!! I will follow her wherever she goes!! She is amazing at curly cuts, vivid colors, braids, and just about everything Ive ever asked her to do. I even asked her to do a 50s haircut called the Middy (which she had never done before) and she freaking killed it!! Now I can achieve all of my favorite vintage hairstyles.     I had the pleasure of Getting my hair done by Roxanne Patricia. Let me tell you she was very sweet and very welcoming she explained to me about all the products she was using, and really listened to what I needed and wanted she also knew that this was my getaway time after having a baby and gave me a very relaxing hair wash and head massage and made sure I was comfortable and happy the whole time. I really appreciated that and I erally appreciate her! She did an excellent job. I dont know how to upload pictures here on my review but I wish I cod it came out perfect.     I have been to the salon now twice and Im very pleased with the services I have received both times. I have found that I am not made to wait for my appointment time as in other places. The hairdresser has been spot-on about the style I have requested. The staff at the counter is very pleasant and helpful. They do have a variety of times available to accommodate my schedule. Both my appointments have been with Sarah and she has done a wonderful job every time. Although a bit pricier than your Strip Mall hair salon, you do get what you pay for and in this case it is better quality.

    Kailah is the best !!! She has taken me lighter without damaging the integrity of my hair but has also taken me from a blonde to a pretty brunette giving me exactly what I asked for. She is so sweet and so is everyone else there. During my first appointment, I went in and we talked and it was a simple conversation I didnt expect her to remember what we have talked about the way she did. In my second session she was asking me about things we talked about in my first appointment and I was so surprised you can tell she listens to her clients!     I was looking for a new salon nearby and came across this gem and am so grateful. Kim M is a SAINT. I came in after not cutting, treating, or really, taking care of my hair for about two years. I have just recently crawled out from under my depression rock, and she did wonders for my hair. Not an ounce of judgement was felt from her, and she helped me with information on products, advice, etc for how to keep my hair healthy from here on out. The woman up front that cashed me out at the end was also wonderful! She had so much personality and was incredibly funny and friendly. I have found my new regular salon.

    The stylist Kayla is a 5 but the Salon itself is a 3.5. Kayla is wonderful and always knows whats best for my hair and does her best to get the color and style I want despite unfortunate circumstances. I usually am a bright red head but have been having to settle for more pink tones because the color brand they use is really bad with their reds, all of them are toned to another color and even their newest blood red still is pink toned. Its unfortunate that the salon doesnt meet my needs. I only continue going for Kayla. If you want bright, colorful and fun hair she is the best choice!

    Prior to my visit, the website was helpful in determining the services offered and their associated costs, so my expectations were absolutely set before stepping through the door. I was also able to book directly online with the stylist of my choice (having a quick link to their social media was super helpful as well)!The salon itself was very easy to find with an added bonus of on-site parking. Inside was very clean, and my stylist (Pray) was very professional yet laid-back and super friendly. He listened to what I wanted and, in turn, was very realistic and transparent regarding the approach he would take to get me as close to the end result I envisioned.     So I had a hair emergency they were able to get me seen the same day. When I walked in I immediately noticed it a beautiful salon, amazing friendly people, and a beautiful display of products. Tim was the one who took care of me. I had anxiety over a bad experience years ago, he made me feel comfortable and explained every step as it was happening. End result was way better than I could have ever imagined. I had a great time with him so personable, and he knows what hes doing. Also when he was styling it he walked me through the process so i could achieve the same look at home(well almost the same, he is the professional).     Having had enough of Great Clips to save pennies, I decided to splurge and made an appointment at J. Bauman. I’d been before and had a good experience. Although my appointment started a few minutes late, I genuinely enjoyed my time with Austin (we are both foodies). And I thought he did a great job! I was feeling very “Love is a Battlefield” so I went with a short cut. And Austin washed my hair AFTER the cut! Genius! Felt sooo good; he’s got the touch. The Salon is enforcing social distancing, the space is very clean, and the staff wears masks. I would definitely return...in a week...when all my hair grows back. Lol!

    I had my hair done by Justin and he was amazing!!! He had a great deal of knowledge and knew exactly how to take care of my hair. I requested balyage/ombre from very dark hair. My hair has been professionally died shades of red throughout the years and this was the first time I was going light. He gave me the look I wanted and even allowed me to come back to get my layers shorter than it was originally cut. He was professional, knowledgeable and had great conversation.     First off, I love the vibe of this salon. Different personalities, and I felt at ease and right at home the moment I stepped in.Kim saved my multiple bands in my long blonde hair, and took her time to make sure it was right.     I went to a salon a few days ago to change my hair color. I wanted the red Scarlet Johansson has in the avengers movie. The girl that did it only made it into a very dark weird copper color. I hated it. I went back the next day to get it fixed. She put red in my hair and not only did it not take to my brown hair on the bottom part but it was nowhere close to the color she said it should be. I looked up salons on google and found this one. Marisa was the one that worked on my hair. She is a miracle worker!! Despite the fact that I had three different colors in my hair that were recently put in, she was able to remove those colors and give me the color I wanted originally. I am super happy with my hair now and so grateful to Marisa. Also the staff are super friendly and the prices extremely reasonable.

    Let me start off by saying how I NEVER write reviews. On anything. But I felt like this is one of those places where you cant help but love complimenting. Today was the first time Ive ever been to this place, and Im glad to know that Ive finally found a great salon who takes in account of how to not only make their customers feel extremely comfortable but also take in account to exactly what you want done. I had a bad hair color experience a few days ago, and I called these people in after my friend told me about them. The lady who spoke to me on the phone was extremely helpful and very sweet.     Michaela (@__michaeladionxo on IG) is my go to hair stylist, and has been for my last 4 hair appointments. Before we begin the service, she takes her time to fully understand what I want for my next cut, color, and style. When I have questions or concerns, she addresses me respectfully and with helpful information that calms my nerves. She gives me a scalp massage while washing my hair that puts me to SLEEP. Once shes sat me down in her chair, its always easy to see how focused, passionate, and driven she is when handling my hair. She checks throughout the cut to make sure my hair is even (Im super grateful for that because not many hairdressers seem to do this, in my experience). Shes sweet, easy to talk to, and absolutely hilarious. If youre like me, someone who doesnt easily trust hairdressers, let me assure you that Michaela will give you peace of mind just like shes given me.

    I was in town for a conference and called Thursday and was able to get in Friday! I used the special for first time clients I found online. I gave Kelly a great challenge: I have thin, graying hair and wanted natural looking color and highlights, an updated style that I could work with at home, that wasnt so short my husband would have a fit! Kelly asked questions and really listened to me, talked about what she was doing at each step, and even gave me a wonderful relaxing head massage during the process. When she was finished, I was blown away! I have never looked this good! My style met and exceeded all my expectations, and what was more amazing was my husband loved it too!     I could not be happier with my experience at J Bauman. I have had some truly terrible experience at salons and was scared to get my hair done by anyone. I went to consultations at 2 other popular Orlando salons, but I am so happy I decided to go with Kim at J Bauman. She listened to my concerns, looked through my pinterest page I had created, walked me through the process she was going to use and what I could expect for the outcome since we were going from darker colored hair to a lighter bayalage. She put me at ease and in the end gave me exactly what I asked for. I walked out with my hair looking like it could be a pin on my hair inspiration board. Plus it is still soft and healthy.     I came into the salon for a bleach and tone, men’s cut and brow wax. I saw Jonathan Rivera. His work is amazing! He was able to lift all of the yellow out of my hair and give me the true platinum silvery blonde that I had wanted!     I have been going to J Bauman since the end of 2013 and have always had Kara do my hair. She does a PHENOMENAL job every time. I’ve lived in 5 states and never loved how stylists from New York to California have done my hair. Kara is the total opposite. She listens to what I like or want to do, gives me feedback, and then executes. I have never left there without immediately walking into the parking lot and taking a selfie because I’m so happy with my new look. She helped me chop 13” off my hair, highlights, ombré, balayage, extensions, keratin treatment, I’ve gone from flat brunette to full blonde and back again... you name it, I’ve done it and Kara has made sure it’s perfect.

    As a new customer, I was completely impressed by J. Bauman from the moment I walked through the door. I chose to go to J. Bauman after several friends raved to me about the salon. I was making a drastic change to my hair so I knew I needed a true professional! Melissa was the perfect gal for the job =) She ended up chopping off 12 inches of my hair {which is now on its way to a non-profit, Children with Hair Loss}. Im now rocking a gorgeous lob with the most perfect balayage! I am LOVING my new do and couldnt be happier with my new short look. Thanks again, Melissa!!!

    I got lucky to be booked with Kara. My hair was a mess from trying to do it myself for several months, so it was several different colors and tones. Kara was able to do exactly what I wanted even making my base color all one color and then adding bayalage highlights and glazing. I swear she is a magician with color! I couldnt be happier with the way it turned out and I will most definitely be making Kara my permanent colorist/stylist! Thanks Kara!!!

    I finally found a hair sylist and nail artist that I love!! Denise is the best! Ive gone through a few sylists in the last few years and was about to just do the quick in quick out ones & live with what ever they did...But I am so lucky, Denise actually listen to what I want, makes suggestions and that does a beautiful job!! She did an updo for a wedding & it was beautiful - and she just created it as she went. She is amazing!And the job she does on my nails is amazing, the gel will last for close to 3 weeks and she is so creative!!I would highly recommend Denise for all your hair & nail needs!! Give her a call, you wont regret it...

    After being unable to schedule with my previous stylist, I took a leap of faith ( with the help of Google, Yelp and Facebook ) and discovered J. Bauman salon.I was certainly ready for a major change and have always had a few cuts with a new stylist before I do anything drastic. Did I mention leap of faith ? I explained to Neisjah what I was looking for and she was able to deliver the EXACT LOOK ! She provided me with a few styling pointers and I am able to style my hair at home and look like I just walked out of the salon.If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would !

    This place is full of beautiful people, inside and out. The salon is full of happy conversations and chatter, so I can only assume that most, if not all customers, are having a great time. Youll come out looking good, and your significant other (or future significant other) will greatly appreciate it. They listen to your needs and absolutely deliver.You can book an appointment online, and the interface is easy to use and mobile friendly.Big shout out to Katrina there (IG @shearkatrina), shes amazing and a highlight of the day when I come by to keep the look fresh.Its a shame I dont live here in Orlando.

    My son (17) and I have been going to J. Bauman for almost 10 years. Ive got one of those cow-licks that without Kim Tons careful, expert, and loving attention - would be unmanageable. This isnt one of those places that you just go to get your hair cut, done, or whatever. Youll go once and find yourself writing something this 10 years later.

    As a guy, its difficult to find a hair cut that balances affordability and convenience (like Supercuts) with quality (like a more seasoned salon). Thankfully youre able to find both at J Bauman. Ive been an Orlando native for 20 years, and have jumped around different barber shops and salons my entire life... Until I came here. The service, care, affordability, and quality make this my #1 go-to.I always get my hair cut by Neisjah, who is simply a master at shaping and styling both men and women. I came in for my first visit explaining how I wanted my hair cut, but really all I had to do was show her a picture and she just nailed it. Compliments came immediately after I switched to her. So of course, I returned, and as I became more familiar with the salon and her expertise, Im now at the point where I can go to Neisjah and just tell her to do whatever she thinks is best, with full trust and confidence in her say no more attitude, and the end result is always 100% satisfaction. As long as youre in the area, youre missing out by not paying Neisjah a visit.

    For the past eight months I have been struggling to find a hairstylist that truly has it all… And I finally have! Tim Lorincz has been sent on this earth specific for me! LolI have a pixie cut, my hair is naturally thick and curly and he gave me a very soft and natural blonde highlights without damaging.Tim is professional, relatable, understanding, visionary, and honest!     I had an emergency with my hair. I was destroyed and crying when I called on the phone, they told me very kindly that they could help me, they contacted Justin to explain me the process, they told me to go for evaluation, I was crying for my hair and Justin always gave me hope that my hair had a solution . I put all my hopes in him and I definitely couldnt have gotten to the best hair salon or better hands. Justin was always very friendly and professional.     I first came to see the esthetician at this salon, Hector, through a living social coupon back in November 2012. I had never used a male esthetician before so I was a little apprehensive. Hector took that uneasy feeling away immediately. His skin knowledge and experience speaks volumes. The facial he gave me was unlike any other facial I had ever received. My face felt like velvet when he was finished.After the facial he spoke with me about a peel he uses on clients with acne. I have had peels and erbiums done to my skin several times to try to remove the acne scarring, to no avail. I was incredibly embarrassed by the scarring and I had pretty much given up. When Hector recommended this peel I didnt originally jump at it. After another facial with Hector, I finally decided to listen to him and try the peel in January. That ONE peel changed my complexion dramatically. I wish I had done it sooner.Hector treats my skin like his own. He is very passionate about making sure I have clear flawless skin. He has me take pictures and follows up with me between my peels to make sure my skin is peeling to his satisfaction. He is truly passionate and dedicated to giving his clients the complexion they deserve.I just had my 4th peel yesterday. The acne scarring is almost gone and my confidence has grown so much! All my friends notice the huge difference in my complexion and my husband is always talking about my glowing skin. I cannot say enough great things about Hector and his work!
