Selena is incredible. She listened to my concerns and delivered flawless results. After years of bleaching my hair, I decided it was time for a change and wanted to add some extensions —and the transformation blew me away. My hair looks so natural, no one could even tell it wasn’t all my natural hair! I was getting compliments left and right the moment I walked out. Worth every penny. 6/5 stars—I’ll be a client for life!!

I had a challenging situation from a bad haircut in New York, where the front sections of my hair were cut too deeply, leaving me with a thick, short chunk at the front.From my very first consultation with Selena, I knew I was in good hands. She took the time to understand my hair habits, asking questions about whether I style my hair often or prefer to let it air dry naturally (which I do). Her approach was all about finding a style that would seamlessly fit into my everyday life.Over the next six months, with Selenas expertise, we managed to turn things around. She suggested some bangs initially to help blend the shorter front pieces and guided me through the growing-out process with patience and skill. Thanks to her, my hair looked great even as we worked through the awkward growth phase.Selenas exceptional talent and understanding made each appointment something I genuinely looked forward to. I’ve been seeing Selena for 11 years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. She’s a true artist, and I’ve reached a point where I sit in her chair and give her full creative liberty—she always delivers beyond my expectations. Her balayage and color work are, in my opinion, the best in town.Before I started going to Selena, my hair would never grow and was constantly breaking. Thanks to her expertise and care, my hair has never been fuller or healthier.She’s a force to be reckoned with, and while part of me is hesitant to write this review (because I selfishly want to keep her all to myself), she absolutely deserves the spotlight. Jest aside, Selena is incredible at what she does. If you’re thinking of trying her, do it—you won’t regret it!

Selena is amazing!! I reached out last minute and she generously squeezed me into her schedule. She was so sweet and funny -Absolutely love her vibe! I haven’t had anyone touch my hair in 4 years and she really took care of me. I’ve been hesitant to go to a salon because I’ve had a less than great experience every time but these 5 stars are well deserved. I will definitely be returning!! Upon my arrival she made me feel very welcome, listened to what I needed, offered refreshments and made sure I felt comfortable during the entire appointment. 100 percent recommend.

I have know Selena since she was an assistant stylist and still in school. I immediately fell in love with her smile and energy as she lights up a room with her positive love. On her first hair wash she stood out because she made my hair feel super clean and gave a great massage. So I made my boyfriend go to her and he fell in love with her head massage too.Selena’s blowouts are to die for! For sure she gives the best blowout in Miami. I have curly frizzy hair so she has been giving me Brazilian Blowouts for over a decade twice per year. Her Brazilian Blowout is spectacular and everyone who lives in Miami needs one from her! My hair used to take 45 minutes to blow straight and with her BBO I can do it in like 15 minutes.Selena is also great at color and she took me from big bird yellow to a nice and warm ash blonde.SelA is a special boutique treasure in the Grove. Right upstairs from the former Coconut Grove Ballet Dance Center 2829 Bird Road. Right on Bird off of 27th Ave, close to Flannigan’s and Big Daddy’s.The location is easy to get to and has free parking. It is conveniently located to many of the top private schools in Miami and a great place to go before pick up or after drop offs. They’re never a wait because Selena books everything privately by herself so she can accommodate anyone’s busy work and family life schedule.SelA Beauty Studio is an exclusive experience that I absolutely recommend for men, women and children.

They are also conveniently located in Coconut Grove and there is a free parking lot in the location!I’ve been exclusively seeing Selena for years- I’m pretty picky with my highlights, and she is the best! First off, Selena, I am so sorry for taking over a year to leave this review 🙈Secondly, if you’re looking for an amazing, professional and friendly hairdresser, you have to come here and have Selena take care of you. I’ve had so many bad experiences with other “hairdressers” giving me not-so-great haircuts but when an ex co-worker of mine came to the office with such a good haircut, I HAD to ask where she got it done and it was with Selena. I booked my first appointment shortly thereafter. Selena has cut my hair a few times now and I will not be going elsewhere. I love how much cuts my hair. I feel so special and relaxed when she’s cutting my hair. She takes her time and is so detailed. You can just tell she loves what she does. I live about an hour away and I still come here. If that doesn’t tell you how much I love Selena, then I don’t know what will.Also, the studio is always extremely clean. They offer you something to drink as soon as you get there. I don’t know what else to say besides 1) I love getting my haircuts with Selena and 2) you will not regret coming to her for your hair needs

I have known Selena for almost a decade. She was the one stylist who knew how to do blonde on Latin hair. Before her, my hair was eternally brassy/yellow, as no one knew how to tone it properly. She also saved my hair from all the extensions damage I had endured. In other words, Selena is an amazing colorist who knows hair! I highly recommend her work. Moreover, her new location is even more convenient now (Coconut Grove).
