Jess is so nice and easy to talk to. I have curly hair and Jess always knows how to cut it so that it lays and curls beautifully. After many disappointing hair cuts at other salons, I found Jess about 4-5 years ago and I’m never disappointed. Previously I always colored my own hair but started having it professionally done by Jess. I love the color so much more than what I was using. If you have curly hair, Jess is your girl!!

Pam is amazing!! When I first visited, I wanted to cut my long hair. Over time, she has crafted my hair into the picture here. I absolutely love my hair and I get so many compliments on it. Pam takes my ideas, checks with me about ideas she has and comes up with the final result. She’s awesome at feeling her way through the haircut as well and working with the person’s specific hair and face to find a flattering style. (For example, she works around/with cowlicks, waves or curls, how your hair naturally lays, etc). She’s even cutting my teen girls’ hair now.

Jessica has been my stylist for over ten years and she is hands down the best stylist and I don’t trust anyone else. I have black brown hair and she colors my hair every six weeks to an ice blonde color, successfully. Very few stylists know how to color hair that drastically the right way and she only bleaches it once. I am in and out in less than two hours and it’s perfect. The products she’s uses are top notch and the salon is always clean. Front desk is super nice and helpful. I get numerous compliments on my hair ALL the time and I send everyone to Jessica. She is knowledgeable and knows hair, always has. Try her out especially if you want color done right. You will not be disappointed!

My usual stylist went on an extended maternity leave recently and I had to find a new stylist. I made an appointment for a free consultation with Jess. I was VERY nervous to use someone else as I have been with my stylist for years. I received a root color, highlights and a cut (suggested by Jessica) I couldnt be happier!! Besides the fact that my hair looks amazing, Jessica was a lot of fun to spend time with and my appointment was around two hours. The salon is clean and everyone was lovely. I cant recommend salon savoy more, especially Jess. Thank you SO much for updating my look!!!! I dont look forward to breaking up with my old stylist.

I trusted Pamela Rode to color my hair chestnut red, blonde, black with chunky cabernet highlights, blue, and red/orange/yellow over the last 15 years. Have also trusted her to cut my *thigh length* hair into a punk rock crewcut, and more recently a mohawk. She’s a badass. And sweet and fun to hang with and a helluva shampooer. Go give her your money!

I have been to Salon Savoy a few times now! The first time I had Richard cut my hair and he did an amazing job! He was so nice and it was such a great experience! The second time was a couple of days before my daughters hair styling appointment to try to see if we could find out what accessories would be needed. The stylist that her appointment was scheduled with was Joan and she took the time to look at pictures, mess with my daughters hair, and let us know what we would need and did not need. The third time was when we went to her styling appointment Joan was so nice and did such an amazing job with the style!!! Salon Savoy is a wonderful place and a super friendly environment!!! I will definitely be going back!!!

I love Salon Savoy! I found this place a year ago after letting my hair grow out from one of the worst haircuts of my life. Pam completely transformed my hair and was able to bring my curls back. She does a fantastic job every time and truly knows how to cut and style curly hair. I cannot recommend Pam or Salon Savoy enough!

Update! Still seeing Lisa for my hair and still loving her!Lisa is amazing stylist. Second time cutting my hair and i love her!! I have very thin unevenly curly hair. It can’t all be cut the same based on that and I often cut it myself or not at all. She takes the time to listen and cut exactly as I asked. That’s important, especially w thin hair... you can’t hide mistakes. Very professional and sweet personality. Being a trained cosmologist myself, I do a lot of my own color but will be going to Lisa for that too! So happy I found her ☺️

I decided I wanted to cut my hair last minute and Salon Savoy got me in the same day. Lisa was my hair stylist and she was so down to earth. I had a previous bad haircut at another salon so she made sure I was okay with what she was doing before she cut it. My hair is wavy and she brought all of that out and made my hair feel and look so good. She also made great conversation! I’m definitely going back.

Lisa does a great job on curly hair! After reading the reviews for her I decided to go in for a cut. I have very long curly hair and I am always afraid hair dressers will trim off too much not realizing it shrinks up after it dries. Lisa showed me exactly how much she was cutting and then scrunched it up after to make sure I would know exactly how short it was going to be. My hair feels healthy again and I will definitely be coming back when I need another cut!

Very nice and clean salon, the staff was very accommodating when I came in for my appointment. My stylist was Lisa and she was totally amazing. A true artist. I really didnt know exactly what I wanted, but I knew what I didnt want, so she asked me questions about how I style my hair and worked with me to come up with a gorgeous cut and color to freshen up my look. I am so happy with how it turned out, thank you Lisa!!

Joan is a great stylist, I love my hair cut every time, and she teaches me many simple and affordable ways to take better care of my hair and scalp. My hair is noticeably healthier since Ive started visiting her at Salon Savoy. The staff at Salon Savoy is courteous and offers refreshments while you wait. You also get a complimentary phone call reminder of your appointment at a reasonable time the day before.

I am a natural redhead and Joan has been doing my hair for over 12 years. Its very flattering to have stylists in LA and NYC ask is that your true color?. Joans expertise is unsurpassed and my hair is the healthiest its ever been! Also, they just added the Dermalogica skin care line and so I tried the 30 minute moisture blast treatment for my dry skin during my last visit to the Salon. I couldnt believe the before and after difference!!! Even several days later my skin still looked awesome! Will definitely do that again. Super friendly staff…they are so sweet and I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!!

Salon Savoy has been absolutely great about adhering to Covid-19 guidelines and ensuring customer safety during these challenging times--including limiting capacity, having customers wait in their cars until their stylist is ready and sanitizing surfaces after every use. I have been going to Pamela Rode for so many years and highly recommend her for fun cuts and color and great conversation while its all happening--I always get compliments on her work and my very fine hair is challenging to get right and shes got the magic touch.

Concy is a well rounded stylist. She is especially well versed on working with very curly hair, color, cut and keratin treatment. I am very happy with her consistent results. She has done her research and has found a keratin treatment that works the best with my curls. My hair is healthy, shiny and manageable. I now can wear my hair naturally without a lot of added product. It’s sometimes hard to find a stylist that understands mixed hair. Concy listens and works with you to ensure you get the results you’re looking for.

I’ve had an awesome experience at the salon. Jessica always takes my ideas and makes them realistic for my lifestyle and hair type. She offers honest feedback which is great. I’ve loved the highlights she’s done for me- they look natural but still pop. Unfortunately I’m moving and won’t be able to stay with the salon but Jessica was really helpful and provided me resources to make sure I find a new stylist who makes my hair look just as great :)

I went to Salon Savoy on a whim and am SO glad I did! I hadn’t cut my hair in at least two years so I was a little nervous to say the least. When I called, the receptionist was incredibly helpful and sweet and BEYOND patient with me as I asked a million and three questions. She sat there with me and explained different services offered and the prices so I could make the best decision which I am so grateful for because googling only made me more confused. When I got there and signed in, she introduced herself so I could put a face to the name (or should I say half of one because the entire staff was wearing masks- YAY!) and led me to my stylist who was ready for me. The salon was beautiful and so clean and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Thank you Salon Savoy!! I’ll be back in a couple of months! And a special shout out to the receptionist- thank you, again beautiful!!!

I had my first appointment with Tina about 3 weeks ago. I knew what I wanted done with my hair and hoped she had her magic wand with her that day. She was very honest about what could/couldnt be done with my hair and explained the reasons. Tina managed to work a miracle and I get compliments on my hair every day. Kelly Walters is my hairstylist at Salon Savoy. I just love the way she listens to what I want to do and adds her professional ideas of how to get the look Im going for. She has done my highlights and lowlights for several years and I always get so many compliments on my color. She has done them to where they look natural and blended and also she has mixed it up and weve had fun doing them a little more bold when the mood strikes me.I love that shes always open to change when I want to. Went to Salon Savoy for the first time today and had the pleasure of meeting Richard! I told him I wanted to do something very different, I’ve always had long hair and wanted a change. Went with a pixie cut style and it is perfect. Showed him some photos of what I had in mind and he did exactly that but with his own style and it came out amazing! I have been to Salon Savoy twice now. Both times with India. I have been living in Gainesville since 2004 and have been to multiple stylists. Many I have been happy with but when they leave the area, I am on the hunt again. Though I have been happy with many of my prior stylists, of everyone Ive dealt with, India has been the most knowledgeable. She explains everything shes doing as far as highlights, discussed the slice method of highlighting vs.the standard method, discussed my color goals and had a thorough discussion of full process color vs. highlights, adding low lights to add dimension to my hair, breaking the base to extend the period between needing highlighting (which not only improves hair health but is far more economical), breaking the base on eyebrows to maintain a more natural match of hair and eyebrows, and what products (general, not salon specific) to use to help maintain my color. In addition to being amazingly knowledgeable about hair color services, India has a great personality. Even on the first visit, I felt very comfortable engaging with her, almost as if Id been seeing her for far longer and had a more established relationship. I am VERY pleased with my hair and recommend her in the highest terms possible.

Salon Savoy has been my hair salon for many years. The staff and stylists are all very professional and friendly. The salon has always been neat and clean, but they have taken special precautions during Covid-19. There is one customer at a time per stylist and the chairs are spaced out with one per room. I feel very safe with the air filtration system and the mandatory masks. I highly recommend Salon Savoy and the excellent hair stylists!

My stylist, Tina Craig, is the best colorist I have ever had. I like my color to look natural. She does low lights and highlights so well. My friends always tell me how beautiful the color is. She is also a pro at handling fine and thin hair. I have both and without Tina’s expertise, I am not sure what I would do.

I went as a first-time client yesterday, and chose Salon Savoy particularly because they have some of the best salon reviews in Gainesville. I must say that I had a great experience. Their salon is nicely decorated, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and working with Jess (my stylist), was wonderful. She spent a lot of time listening to what I wanted, what I disliked, and most importantly delivered a beautiful finished product (my hair!). I loved the blonde highlights and haircut, and look forward to being a continued client of hers. I had a bad experience at another local salon about 2-3 weeks earlier. I was scared to go anywhere else but had to fix the damage the previous stylist did. I called Salon Savoy and Karrie answered, I explained my situation and she pleasantly listened. We set an appointment for a couple days later. We talked about the experience and I showed her pictures of what I would like. She did an amazing job! I highly recommend Karrie, if you are new to the area and looking for stylist that listens to what you want shes the one. No junior stylists here.Ive been a client of Kathy Hutton for over 10 years. She recently made a move to this state of the art salon. This is the second time Ive followed her. When you find someone good, you stick with them. She is an expert in coloring; blending highlights and lowlights masterfully. I went looking for a stylist after I got tired of spending much time, money, and manual labor to keep my gray covered. I said I wanted my hair frosted. They dont really call it that now.Kathy has a very perceptive eye as to what will look good on you. My hair looks fresh, natural and the same every time I see her. Thats the key for me. I dont want people to know that Ive had my hair done. I just want the gray roots gone. My hair has never looked so good.Kathy uses a reminder service and Im thankful for that. Many times my days get so hectic that appointments can slip my mind. It is so nice to get a reminder phone call. Not only that, but also they offer earlier or later times on that day if theyre available. How many times have I changed my appointment because my schedule opened up.Colors, cuts or even updo styles for prom or wedding.Take the guesswork out of your next salon visit and book an appointment with Kathy.

This is a shout out to Tina Craig at Salon Savoy for doing an amazing job with my hair for my wedding on February 20th. Tina has been doing my hair for 25 years and the minute my fiancée Arlene and I set a wedding date, I knew who was going to do our hair. When I contacted Tina to ask her, she was immediately excited about it. She arranged a whole crew to take care of us for hair and make-up that Saturday morning. She told us Lisa was going to do our make-up, Joan was going to do my fiancée’s hair, and Tina’s wedding present to me was going to be my hairdo. Tina was super excited and asked us so many questions, she wanted to make sure our hair and make-up would be exactly what we wanted. Tina asked to see pictures of our wedding dresses, what the wedding colors and theme were going to be, and what we were picturing for our hair. I told Tina I wanted my hair half up and half down and she thought that would look nice. Tina has known my hair for so many years, so I knew she could make something beautiful happen. She suggested we look at designer hair pins on Etsy or Amazon and maybe go with matching pins to tie the theme together.The wedding was at 3 pm, but our reveal was at 1 pm and we needed to be at the venue at noon to get ready. Tina and her crew were at Salon Savoy early Saturday morning to make our dream hair and make-up was going to be done on time. They were on point. Lisa took me first and did an incredible job with my make-up, she listened to what I wanted and made it a reality. Arlene had her hair done first with Joan, who also did an amazing job and Arlene was very happy with her hairdo, she incorporated some pins in her hair to later match the ones I would wear. Then we switched, Arlene went to make-up and I went to Tina for my hair. Tina played around with the half up and half down style and her idea was perfect. She pinned up my hair with some of the same pins Arlene had in her hair, then she curled all the strands of hair hanging down by my face and in the back. I could not believe how beautiful it was, I felt like a princess!The wedding ceremony was beautiful, both Arlene and I looked so beautiful and so many people commented on how gorgeous our hair was. I am so thankful to Tina Craig of Salon Savoy for creating a dream come true and to the Salon Savoy team who helped beautify us for this important life event. We highly recommend Tina Craig and Salon Savoy for all your hair and make-up needs.

Ive lived in Gainesville for the past 8 months, and have been to multiple salons and stylists. After a completely botched bang trim (blunt bangs, cut too short and too far back at the edges, one side shorter than the other, so not a lot to work with here) India was able to save my bangs and give me beautiful, face framing layers that not only blend in the edges of the bangs, but really complement my face shape better than any haircut Ive had in ages. I have frizzy, naturally curly hair, and this cut has been much easier to blow dry and style than what Ive had previously. I will definitely be back!

I made an appt with Courtney to do a red violet bayalage. The first time Ive died my hair in a long time because I hate bleaching it and color just doesnt do well in my hair. Well she definitely took her time with the bleaching process and made me feel very comfortable, as I was a nervous wreck. Made sure the color was perfect that I wanted. My husband and I went here to see Pam Snow. Since Randy’s closed my husband has been all over town trying to find a new place and most all of them do quick jobs of it. Pam has a whole line of services catering to the gentleman’s grooming needs and she does a fabulous job!! He has been twice to see her and doesn’t intend on going anywhere else at this point. In fact I am fairly certain if Randy’s reopened my husband would continue to go see Pam!

I have very difficult curly/wavy hair to cut. I got a really bad cut from a certified curly hair specialist in another town and expected to have hair anxiety for several months. Then I found Kristy and with ONE cut and change in products, my hair looks soooo much better. I couldn’t be happier and look forward to my next appointment with Kristy!

Salon Savoy, a splendid spa-like retreat nestled in northwest Gainesville, Florida was the perfect setting for my bridal hair and make-up sessions. My wedding day fell outside of Salon Savoy’s normal business hours but the gracious salon staff and salon owner helped to make my big day even better by making an accommodation for my bridesmaids, mothers and myself by opening their salon exclusively to us! We had an amazing assortment of hors doeuvres and champagne to celebrate the big day while taking turns in the truly expert hands of Pamela and Carly! Thank you so very much for making my wedding day beautiful and for giving me everlasting memories with my Sisters and Moms, I appreciate that more than any review could ever truly convey.

I called this Salon for an appointment because they were the closest Salon that was not SuperClips or GreatClips....both of which offer great services at very affordable rates, but I needed a change... I had let my hair get pretty bad...itd been about three or four months since a cut. I explained my situation on the phone, asked if they had a stylist with a magic wand...and they did! As luck would have it, I was able to get in that day due to a cancellation...Joan Lavan owns this salon and is a color specialist, and apparently a wizard with a razor as well...she cut my hair and Ive never felt better about it! When you walk in to the salon, you can sense immediately the care that Joan has taken with every choice, from the music in the background to the unbelievable clutter-free openness. Its a bit like going to a very zen spa, just sitting there in the chair. My spirits were lifted as efficiently as my hair was trimmed. Joan has created a great salon and is herself very talented (I hear she is also a photographer....). I highly recommend this experience...well worth the small difference in price compared to the chain options. Its in the plaza behind Zaxbys on 43rd.

Excellent service, I had a hair emergency the day of prom and they fit me in during the morning and told me what they could do to fix my hair. The lady (do not remember her name, I think it started with a J) was very helpful and gave me tons of information for my hair. My hair looked 100x better when I left, I will definitely be going back here:)

Thank heaven for Lisa! She made me look and feel like a blonde bombshell! I have had a hard time finding a stylist in Florida who could perfect my sandy blonde desires and she nailed it.
