    ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HAIR! came in with little hope that i could get blonde highlights due to my hair history (red undertones/box dye) and YUMILA did so so well with so little damage done to my hair. Highly recommend her, she is such a skilled hair stylist, such a rare gem to find in gainesville! Will be definitely coming back for touch up!!

    Rachel did a phenomenal job with my hair! I went in for a Signature Cut, told her what I wanted and showed her my pinterest board and she brought it to life! She was so sweet and really did a great job on my hair, I left feeling so beautiful. The prices are incredibly reasonable and I really am so happy with the results! Thank you again, Rachel!

    I followed Natalie here when she left her previous salon, and Im so glad I did. This spot doesnt have a lot of the frills that other salons might - but Im not paying for decor, Im paying for friendly service and truly awesome cut, color, and style work.Natalie is a well-experienced professional who is wonderful at understanding exactly what Im hoping for, making excellent recommendations, and always going above and beyond to ensure that Im happy when I leave. Ive seen her twice (so far) at this location, and its been well worth the trip each time!

    I had a really good shampoo and style with Natalie! I absolutely loved the way she washed and styled my hair. Im really hoping to come back to the salon to see her in June. I regret not asking her for her professional Instagram!

    I had a signature cut with Yumila! I had colored my hair the day prior and was ready to get my first trim after trying to grow out a buzzcut. Yumila was enthusiastic and pleasant, and she took my shapeless hair and made it look layered and fantastic! Pixie cuts are notoriously difficult, and I was impressed by Yumila’s efficiency despite the challenge. Thanks to her, I am no longer rocking an oval-shaped bowl cut. Thank you!

    Shay was amazing! She was professional, personable, and friendly. The stylist I was originally booked with didnt feel comfortable doing what I asked for and asked Shay to help me and I cant tell you how much more comfortable that made my visit. I love that the other young lady acknowledged that what I was asking for was outside her wheelhouse. I will be definitely back to visit Shay!

    Today I saw Yumi for my first professional haircut since 2021. In the past, I’ve been reluctant getting my hair professionally cut as I usually end up leaving with a much more masculine cut than I asked for (pixie life). Not only was Yumi very professional and fast, but she gave me a beautiful high-end looking haircut for which, when I lived in NYC and Atlanta, I’d have easily pay double. She did exactly what I wanted while keeping my expectations measured due to my curl pattern and hair growth. I love this haircut and will keep coming back to this stylist.

    Yomila was awesome! 10/10 recommend. She speaks Spanish and has years of experience as a hair stylist in Miami doing cuts, blowouts, and colors. She’s so funny and sweet. We had great conversations and she did amazing on my hair. I just moved to Gainesville and was reluctant to find a new stylist, but Yomila did not disappoint. She got my natural curly hair nice and straight just how I like it. She is a professional and knows what she’s doing!

    I’ve been here quite a few times but the most recent visit was by far my best experience. Micaela was the stylist and she listened to what I wanted and delivered. Not only did she cut my hair but she also was amazing with my four year old daughter, who received her second hair cut ever. I’ll be returning and highly recommend Micaela!

    Yumila gave me the best blowout with a flat iron finish that I have ever had in Gainesville. I was a walk-in due to my normal stylist being sick. I have curly hair and its always been impossible to get a perfectly frizz free blowout and flat iron...until Yumila made by hair silky straight with so much shine!

    Shay was fantastic! I was really unhappy with how my hair was highlighted at a different salon in town. I found some great reviews online for Shay so I decided to book an appointment to see if she could correct my hair. She was an excellent communicator - she let me know what she could safely do with my hair since it had just been highlighted. The end result was amazing! You would have never known how bad it looked when I walked in. I am new to the area and I can say that I have officially found my new stylist.

    I called in last minute for a wash and blow dry, they were able to squeeze me in only 30 minutes from the time I called. I was placed with Yumila, who I just have to brag about. Not only was she friendly and relatable but she gave me the best blow dry I have had in over a decade! Recommend 10/10. Will be back to see Yumila again!

    Kayla was fantastic cutting my nieces hair. She kept my sisters wish of no bangs but made sure my niece got the style she wanted.She is 9 and this was her first professional haircut and Kayla put her to ease and was so sweet to her the entire time.     Brought my daughter for a color correction. We spent hours in the salon, and left with a whole new cousin/aunt. (She might not have realized it. 😅) We called on Friday and asked for a next day appointment, and were scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Susan did her hair and was fantastic!! She took blotches of badly bleached hair that seemed hopeless,and turned it into the pink highlights of my daughters dreams. Shes a magician, I swear! There were two other stylists working as well. They were all super friendly and pleasant. The conversation felt as casual and comfortable as a girlsnight out. One gals name was Jennifer. I didnt catch the others name but she is Susans daughter. 💕 The whole experience was wonderful. Absolutely will go back to have Susan (or Jennifer) do our hair again.

    I would love to say that I got the best haircut ever from the assistant manager, Nick. I will never go anywhere else. I booked online the day before to make sure that the business had adequate time to accommodate me and my needs. The service was wonderful and I will be back. I’m recommending this location to all of my friends for speedy and amazing service.I do recommend that those using the online reservation form to book at least a day in advance as spots do fill up depending on the service that the guests want.     Melissa did a fantastic job on my daughter’s hair. She cut over 8” off to donate. Melissa was meticulous about giving her a great bob, checking and rechecking the cut and evenness both while wet and dry. I was unsure about a walk-in place for my daughter’s big hair change, but Melissa did a wonderful job.

    I scheduled a same-day appointment and was helped as soon as I walked in! I got a haircut with shampoo and blowdry and was so satisfied with the results!     I love the Hair Cuttery in Butler Plaza (Gainesville). The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond. Before having Jen as a stylist, I would get my hair styled once a year, now I will be coming every two to three months because she is amazing. She treats me like her most valuable customer. Her Balayage was phenomenal! I have never received so many compliments on my hair. Suzanne and Lexi are wonderful as well. I love seeing everyone’s hair while I get mine done. Everyone goes out looking like a million bucks. I will be a continuing customer as long as those ladies are there.

    Very welcoming staff for the most part Hannah and Suzanne in particular are always very sweet. Ariel was my stylist and she did an amazing job, cut my hair exactly as I wanted it cut. The prices are reasonable. Ariel also does very well with beard/goatee trims. Definitely will return.

So needless to say I was a little nervous letting someone else touch my hair. Mandi at this location did an awesome job and made me feel so at ease!     I had gone to Alice when she was working at the Hair Cuttery on 13th street. I loved my experience so much that I went back to that salon without booking an appointment just hoping to see her again. I was told that she moved to the archer road one but I just wanted a simple cut so I decided to stay and have someone else did it. The cut turned out awful and I was so upset because it was so uneven. I knew I should have just waited and made an appointment with Alice. So I learned that she was now at this location and I came in to see her because she was the only one I trusted lol. I was so upset about my hair that I literally just went to this salon without an appointment hoping Alice would be there. Even though it was the end of her day she stayed after and fixed my uneven hair. Alice and her staff were so amazing and I can not recommend them enough! I moved from Gainesville and am sad I wont be going back there but if anyone is looking for a great stylist I highly recommend Alice.

    My experience was perfectly fine, my mom made me an early appointment & was about 10 mins late because unfortunately i’m not a morning person, they said they deleted it which was weird but still took me in for a shampoo & cut. i showed them my reference pictures for a chin length bob & wispy bangs due to me growing out a pixie cut. it went really well & the lady, i’m not good with names but she was blonde, checked in with me a lot for the length of my bangs. clean store, everyone wearing masks

    Byfar the best in Gainesville! I got my haircut done with Tara, have never been happier with my hair.     (12/29/17) Some of these reviews are slightly old and dont really justify the current staff. I went in early to get my haircut and they were pleasant. It was just a touch up that I wanted and its exactly what I got. They will work with you if you are willing to work with them. Common courtesy yall, seriously.

    These guys and gals will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy when you walk out their door! Kiyofa(sorry if I spelled it wrong doll) is my style guru and he is amazing!Hes cut my hair while its been long and short, and has never missed a beat! Lex worked on my 15 year old daughters hair and shes still loving it 3 days later and we all know how picky teenagers can be so that says ALOT! Lex also cut my male roommates hair, suggested a deep conditioning treatment and he was blown away by how soft and healthy his hair was afterwards, she knows what shes doing ladies! If I could give these two alone 10 stars I would!

    It’s not a bad place to get your hair cut or styled but I do recommend that the employees make it their priority to meet the customer’s desires . Also, they have friendly staff just think there’s room for improvement regarding hair care at this particular salon location.

    I commented on my friends cute cut and asked her where she went. She said here! She said Meldy did it so I went in and unfortunately Meldy was with a customer so I just went with the next available stylist which was Antiqua. She did an AMAZING job. Im so pleased with my cut.     Great place for adults and kids. Everyone is always very nice. Good price for cuts and color. Same as if I were to go downtown and pay $100 more for the same services. Never a bad experience. And if something isnt right they have no problem fixing it.
