I love this salon! They have a very diverse selection of stylists and they specialize in a variety of areas: natural hair, extensions, braids, hair coloring, cuts, relaxers, perms and etc. Sunkys is a full-service salon and all are trained beauticians. They dont just do hair lol. Sunky is a whiz with the blow dryer and brush. Her blowouts are full of volume and bounce.The salon takes walk-ins and appointments depending on the style/availability. What I love most is the vibe. It such an old school feel and it takes me back to when I would frequent the salon with my mother as a child. Everyone is so positive, full of life and hospitable. Such a rare gem in todays modern world. They value your time and in doing so they get you in/out.The salon has several wash stations, several hair dryers and a hair steamer. Its always clean and comfortable. Lastly, have a variety of hair products available for purchase.

Sunky did my hair today and it was a really good experience. I had grown out highlights on my natural brown hair when I went in wanting to go a darker brown all over. I knew it was a long shot to get everythin g one solid color but it turned out perfectly! I showed her one reference pic and she was able to do exactly what I wanted: All of the other hair dressers clients in the salon looked beautiful as well. My hair has never felt healthier and I will definitely be going back:)

After having dreadlocks for 10 years and taking them out took 5 weeks. I knew I wanted something different but still able to keep my natural hair without chemicals. So I asked my boyfriend to find me the best salon for silk press. And when I tell you that Sunky changed my life SUNKY CHANGED MY LIFE 💯 The outcome was so amazing. I feel so beautiful and my hair is too die for!!!! As soon as I was done I had to make an appointment for my Aunt. I know she is going to love the results. So soft and flowing head of hair. My first experience here was on yesterday. It was so amazing such a beautiful transformation. I love the scenery of the salon, I live the order of the salon, and most importantly I love the women of the salon! I have natural 4C hair. Like several people, I was very hesitant to get my hair straighten (blowout and flat iron). I get my hair straighten about 2x a year mostly only for special events. Well, I visited FL in December, and I decided to straighten my hair at Sunky Salon. I did not have a specific hairdresser, but I decided to stay only because someone address me as soon as I walked through the door (this is a plus in customer service). Esther, although busy with a client, asked how can I help you. After I told her, she gave me directions. The highlight of my experience was when I sat in her chair (I like that she washed and did my hair and not let another hairdresser do my hair). I explained to her my concern about my hair being damage after the blowout and flat iron. I sensed the frustration in her gesture and in her tone of voice when she explained to me what will happen after straightening my hair. Because hairdressers do not like when customers tell them how to do their job or even doubt them. I like to let hairdresser know my concerns so that they are informed. However, I decided to take the emotion away and listen to what she was saying. She informed me that after the first wash some of my hair will be curly and some will be straight, after the second wash it will get curlier and some hair strands will still be straight, etc. Hence, overtime (a month or two) it will gradually become curly but NOT BE HEAT DAMAGE. This was exactly what I experienced, and I am content with the service and result.

I was referred by one of my patients whose hair is ALWAYS flawless! I was DEFINITELY pleased with the results of my hair. The products were AMAZING! I noticed an instant difference. Sunky (the owner) was very informative on the dos & donts of caring for my hair. The staff was nice and I was in an out in an hr.

I was a little apprehensive about getting my natural hair straighten because I did not want to damage my hair. Sometimes too much heat is used and I would end up with heat damage and painful burns from the blow dryer or curling iron. I did not experience any of that. I did not have an appointment but was serviced in a reasonable amount of time. I was very pleased with my visit.

I have been going to Sunkys since 2006, when I moved to Broward county, Florida. Sunky (the owner) has been nothing more than professional, uses excellent products that not only grows your hair but restore health to weak brittle hair. I go there weekly for washes and deep treatments. She is the best hair stylist that I know, because caring for your hair is her number one priority.
